Bernie Sanders Endorses Hillary Clinton

Sympathize

Bernie Sanders has endorsed Hillary Clinton. Some are happy. Some are sad. Did he do the right thing? Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

"Bernie Sanders finally offered his endorsement of Hillary Clinton on Tuesday, officially ending a bitter presidential primary in order to unite the Democratic party against Donald Trump. The Vermont senator's endorsement comes more than a month after Clinton secured enough delegate support to effectively clinch the nomination, with or without Sanders dropping out of the race.

"Secretary Clinton has won the Democratic nominating process," Sanders said at a rally with Clinton in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. "And I congratulate her for that. She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain that she will be the next president of the United States."

"I have come here today not to talk about the past, but to focus on the future," he continued. "I have come here to make it as clear as possible as to why I am endorsing Hillary Clinton and why she must become our next president.””*

+Bruce Springsteen Not enthusiasm More like a sense of nervous anticipation
about the future of politics. The ideological ground is shaking and
shifting beneath our feet, both on the right and the left. That’s what
Trump and Sanders represent. I don’t hate rightwingers. On the contrary, I
believe politics is healthier with a strong right and a strong left. I want
to give poor and working people a genuine choice between a Right that cares
about them and a Left that cares about them.

      +Phil “Harmonix” Phan it’s a generational thing. It’s because a lot of
older southerners feel like the clintons were responsible for a greater
economy during Bill’s time in office. Some even called him the first black
president! We of course know about nafta and the crime bill passed to
incarcerate more innocent people, but they arent looking deeper in the
      picture like we are.

By being matched up with a candidate that the majority of Americans (at
least according to current poling) dislike even more in a system where the
vast majority of Americans will refuse to consider a candidate other than
one of the two major party candidates.

+Rimi N Well if the green party wants to have a fighting chance they need
more political capital. Which means they have to assume lower positions in
      government and win local elections.

    • John Lind
      July 13, 2016 at 5:52 PM

This make no sense. Bernie Sanders can be in the debate against Hillary
Clinton and Donald Trump if he accepted Jill Stein’s offer to take over the
Green Party’s nomination. Bernie Sanders would have gained 15% in the polls
and get into the debate, where he would win against both Hillary and Trump
in the national debate. But Bernie refused to join the Green Party, and
thats why he is a traitor. And Young Turks, Sam Seder, and David Pakman
supported this too, I will never forget that. Traitors! Poor people
invested their money in Bernies campaign and now that support is behind
wall street Hillary. That is stealing from the poor people

      +TheUnholiness Within
I want Cenk to support Jill Stein and Talk to Bernie Sanders to do the
same for the reasons I already stated. If the Green PArty get 15% in the
debate, wich they will with TYT and Bernies support they will get into the
debate and win. But TYT will not do that because they are traitors just
      like Bernie

    • Derrick helms

Democrats will have a lot more power under Clinton. Bernie would be able to
achieve a lot more under her, than under Trump. I don’t want to have Bush’s
third term, of course it didn’t kill us, but it hurt America a lot. Bill
was questionable in some areas, but he was effective, and I bet Hillary
will be too. This comes from a somewhat broken Bern fan, but never Trump.

If he wasn’t being an idiot he would not back her. I don’t think he is an
idiot I think he is being an idiot. More than likely he received death
threats against some of his loved ones. If not then this literally was all
set up including him and his socialist campaign. Now they know who all of
the hardcore socialists actually are thanks to social media. By they way I
wanted him to fight to the death ‘so to speak’.
