Cynthia Lennon, the first wife of John Lennon, passed away on April 1, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. She was 75 years old.

Cynthia and John Lennon were married from 1962 to 1968 and had one son, Julian Lennon. They met at a club in Liverpool, England, and fell in love quickly. They married on August 23, 1962. Unfortunately, their relationship did not last, as John developed feelings for Yoko Ono and eventually divorced Cynthia.

Cynthia was an artist and author. She wrote two books, A Twist of Lennon and John. She opened her art gallery in Majorca, Spain, and was involved in several other art projects.

Cynthia was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and has been receiving treatment for it since then. Although she was being treated with chemotherapy, her health declined, and she died from cancer on April 1, 2015.
