George Stephanopoulos recently asked Bernie Sanders why he’s supporting Hillary Clinton at this time. Bernie’s first response: Donald Trump. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"GMA host George Stephanopoulos referenced two Facebook posts from disgruntled Sanders supporters: "You broke my heart and betrayed the Left, Sen. Sanders," said one person. "You chose her over us," said another.
"What do you say to your supporters who feel betrayed," Stephanopoulos asked.
"What I say is it is absolutely imperative for the future of this country that Donald Trump not be elected President of the United States," Sanders responded. "At a time when this country has enormous crises, we do not, and can not have a man with Trump's temperament with the nuclear code and running the country."
"So it is about the lesser of two evils?" Stephanopoulos followed up.
"No, it is not about the lesser of two evils," Sanders replied. "If you look at issue by issue, we have Hillary Clinton who wants to significantly raise the minimum wage — we have millions of workers in this country working on starvation wages. We have Donald Trump who wants to let states have the right to do away with the concept of the minimum wage. People could be working for five bucks an hour.””*

It is funny Cenk and Bernie suddenly started believing her campaign
promises.
Right except literally nothing Hillary says can be taken seriously. She
doesn’t mean anything she says in politics. Only if it will benefit her,
that’s all. Period.
+ianbenjiman Exactly. The only thing Clinton cares about is herself, power,
money, and influence are the *only* things that matter to her, and to hell
with anybody or anything else.
Because those are the ones that were part of the “capitulation package”
that Sanders negotiated in favor of his endorsement.
Jill Stein!!! Throw your vote away 2016
Remember that Al Gore in fact won the 2000 presidential election. The
counting was stopped by the supreme court but the counting organised by 2
newpsaper soon after showed that in fact he had won
+Tripp K I don’t know much about Jill Stein, but based off her web page she
is advocating policies that are nearly identical to Sanders. I see him
being closer to her than Clinton so I doubt that’s it.
sorry but I still would never vote for hillary
American is not a race. It’s a nationality.
I no longer care about what Bernie has to say, especially about what he has
to say about that LYING SNAKE hilLIARy Clinton. I AM VOTING FOR JILL STEIN.
#Jill2016
+Judas Iscariot another Hillbot trying to convince people that voting for
Jill is throwing your vote away. If it truly was they wouldn’t be employing
people to spread this bullshit.
I got one word:
WE STIL
GOT JIL
+Richard did he say why?

#jillnothill this is crazy cenk is trying to rationalize insanity,
I’ve been a Bern supporter from the start, but the only insane thing Bern
could’ve done was accept Jill’s invitation to take over the third party or
not endorse Hillary. This would split the party even more, and allow Trump
the win. Trump will be worse than George W. Bush’s third term, we have to
put this menace down one way or another. I think voting 3rd party is a way
to vote against both of these candidates, a completely sane thing to do;
however, I also think voting Hillary to take down the menace that is Trump
is another completely sane thing to do. I see nothing insane about either
of those options, and especially if Bern didn’t endorse Hillary, with all
the power and influence he has; I would be questioning his mental state.
But we have a lot of options, whereas our leaders’ actions are limited if
they think ahead, which is exactly what Bern was doing.
You are huying into the fear mongering.
The banks will eat you up. Vote for Trump or vote for corruption.
Or vote for Jill Stein
+Frederick McMurry Hillary is probably a lizard in disguise though
+Znernicus yes, vote for the woman who believes in homeopathy
that sounds like typical twisted exaggeration to make you forget about all
the important issues that Jill Stein shares with Bernie’s original campaign
A vote for Trump is a vote for facism
Tyt your pathetic. supporting for someone who will sell you when you could
support jill stein.
Hillary Clinton will not spare families of terrorists bc we are currently
killing them now.
you’re*
Meh…… #NeverHillary #JillNotHill #Jill2016
Matt is now certified as contributing the most asinine post of the

This.
It amazes me that he talks about Trump’s temperament vs. Hillary’s. Hillary
is literally regarded by everyone that personally knows her as a complete
scumbag that has an amazingly crazy temper. Bernie has sold his soul. It’s
easy to see.
bernie didnt really have a choice. he knows his supporters are smart enough
to vote green party. Even if trump wins we will most likely have a
democratic senate and possibly house.
I hope so.
I don’t care what anyone says, if Bernie was honest and said it’s the
lesser of two evils and was real with us then it’d be easier to understand,
but he’s literally supporting her. That’s not the Bernie we voted for lol.
Right, you misread. I meant that he should have held out until right
before the election while continuing to build the movement and/or a new
party rather than funneling all of our momentum into a criminal campaign
which did nothing but give Berniecrats black eyes.
Trump over hillary any time.
+mad dusa agreeing to disagree is a paradox as we are already disagreeing…
And we already almost had a successful attempt at infiltrating a corrupt
party… Bernie sanders already almost won if it went for the stupidity of
the majority of people who voted for hillarys vagina rather then her
policies…
yeah vote for the man who doesn’t believe in global warming, that’ll end
well
Jill Stein
YESSSSS!!!!!!! JILL STIEN!!! #JillStein2016
I am now even more disappointed. Who are you kidding Bernie? We both know
Hillary is bought.
Trump pulling ahead so fast lmao
Guy fought for so long and within a second he turned on you guys lol
Sometimes we must so what is unsavory to get what we truly want in the end.
He was a pied piper.
Bernie indicated from the beginning that he would support Clinton if the
time came…
He also said he would fight to the convention. Wrong.

Ofcourse now he’s saying that Hillary is right in everything that HE fought
for, unacceptable, simply unacceptable.
he didnt say that. his stance was clear, that trump is the priority and
nothing is stopping him besides the support of hillary clinton.
+TheRLification In the words of our current President Barrack Obama “She’ll
say anything and change nothing”
+fakei macfake I’m sure Bernie has no illusions about Hillary. Neither do
I. Progressives are the ones who need to pressure her and congress and get
more progressives elected.
+Abdelh Robles “Change nothing” is better than what Trump will do.
She doesn’t want to do any of that, she is just saying she will, she will
say anything to get elected. In the end she will just compromise with the
republican controlled congress, and end up with her original plans.
Uh… No.
Trump and Hillary are both proven to be pathological liars and they’ll both
say whatever they think pleases their respective side’s ears.
Nobody has any idea whatsoever what either of them actually have planned
for this country because they can’t keep their platforms or their stories
straight.
Perhaps, but the bottom line is that she’s on record now approving of these
things that Sanders supports. She will be held accountable, by all of us.
and trump will be different?
Who will cry on air when Trump wins in November?
